The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse competition in the United States. Featuring Hunters, Jumpers, Carriages, Hackneys and Saddlebreds, this 11-day event in Devon, PA began as a one-day horse show in 1896 with 30 classes. Today there are 95,000 spectators, 45 divisions, and more than $325,000 in prize money, the crown jewel of which is the $100,000 Grand Prix of Devon.
Steeped in tradition while also moving forward into the 21st century, it's no wonder that in 2010, Devon became just the fourth American horse show to be honored with the distinction of a USEF Heritage Competition, and was recognized for the second consecutive year by the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame as the Horse Show of the Year.
