Deer Creek Farm

Deer Creek Farm is located in a tranquil valley, at the base of Round Mountain, with vistas of the White River bluffs. A five minute canter across open fields will award you a beautiful view of the White River and on hot summer days, the horses love to cool off and splash in the river. The hundreds of acres to trail-ride on make Deer Creek Farm a unique equestrian facility. While emphasis is placed on safe and proper riding, trail rides are part of the regular training program. Horses live in their natural environment....outdoors, with large open run-in-sheds, for shelter as needed, and horse friendly fencing. Green grass or hay, fresh water, loose minerals and salt blocks are always available and horses/ponies (that are not too fat) get grain twice daily. Stalls are available on an as needed basis but are not assigned to any one horse. This is how the horse prefers to live (I asked them). The professionally designed outdoor riding area has excellent footing and drainage with a full set of quality jumps. The round pen, barn, tack room, and full bath room all add to the comforts of horse and rider. Besides lessons, local shows and foxhunting, a bit of breeding happens at Deer Creek Farm. Venus, the first foal born at Deer Creek Farm, 6 years ago, was exported to England in February of 2007. Her daughter, Girls Nite Out, hopefully will bless the farm with another beauty in April of 2008.
