AHJA is hosting a USHJA sponsored clinic with renowned clinician Nick Karazissis October 4-5, 2008 at Los Cedros in Scottsdale. Cost of the two-day clinic is $300.00. Limited stabling is available at Los Cedros for $30/night and can be arranged by contacting Debbie Jamsa at 928 899-3373 or Debbiejamsa@happysdreamranch.com. Reservation forms are available on the website. Space is limited so get your reservations in early in order to be guaranteed a spot. The 2008 AHJA Medal Finals will be held Friday, November 14th at the Tucson Fall Classic Show. The finals will consist of a written test to count 25% plus a first round score which will determine the top eight finalists in each of the four divisions to return for the second round. Finalists, their families and trainers will be able to attend a luncheon prior to the written test sponsored by the Tucson Fall Classic and SWFC. After the first round is complete in all four finals there will be a dinner before the top eight in each division return for their second round. Once again there will be a Hi Score Award sponsored by Melissa Duven and Remington Hill Farm. This year AHJA is giving discounts for early reservations for the annual Year End Awards Banquet. Mark your calendars now for the 2008 AHJA banquet which will be held January 17th, 2009 once again at the lovely DoubleTree Paradise Valley resort in Scottsdale. Watch for invitations in the mail to all AHJA members, or download the reservation form from the website. Anyone wishing to submit a rule change proposal for the 2009 competition year must do so in writing either via email to Wendy Johnson at ranchodecano@aol.com or to the PO Box address. Deadline is October 1, 2008. Submissions postmarked after that date will not be considered.
