| Business Description: | Royal Canadian Riding Academy is one of the premier all-season equestrian facilities in Canada. From our many recognized competitions and clinics in multiple disciplines, to our excellent riding school, riders of all ages and abilities benefit from our extensive venue, knowledgeable staff, friendly atmosphere and our shared love and respect for horses. RCRA features three indoor arenas, four spacious outdoor sand rings and permanent stabling for some 150 horses. The Main Show Arena features seating for approximately 2,000 people in permanent bleachers. The second floor indoor viewing lounge allows spectators to watch the action from the comfort of a heated room and a cozy arm chair. In addition to a spectacular view of the main indoor arena, the second level offers a spacious outdoor patio overlooking our beautiful grounds, as well as the Equus Café which serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner fare, and is available for custom requests for special events. The RCRA Riding School Arena is also very spacious and features bleacher seating for friends and family, as well as a heated indoor viewing lounge. Our third arena is used for lungeing, schooling, indoor turnout and is the warm up area for indoor shows. Our large outdoor rings are well groomed with all-weather sand footing. Our Grand Prix Jumper Ring accommodates World Cup show jumping classes, while our Grand Prix Dressage Ring with permanent judges' booths is ideal for riding the perfect test. An Annex Ring and a Practice Ring are also available. RCRA offers miles of beautiful, quiet hacking along wide, sandy trails through forest and open fields. With some 150 permanent stalls, and the construction of more under review, RCRA provides housing for boarders and school horses, while also being able to offer indoor permanent stabling for visitors to competitions and events hosted on the property. Stalls are large box stalls with excellent ventilation, and sliding doors. Barns feature indoor wash racks with hot and cold water, heated tack rooms, and a laundry facility. |
