Thank you for stopping by the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association web site. RMRHA is a thriving NRHA affiliate based in Colorado, with members throughout the Mountain States region. Our primary mission is to promote the breeding, training and exhibition of the reining horse. In accomplishing this we have established the RMRHA Stallion Stakes program, and we produce the annual RMRHA Summer Slide. We invite your participation in one of the reining world's most successful horse shows and stallion incentive programs, offering a Futurity, Derby and full slate of ancillary classes. The Summer Slide boasts a five year average of 1,000 entries per year with over $125,000 in total purse and $35,000 in awards! Each year RMRHA hosts several reining clinics, where our trainers as well as visiting NRHA Professionals contribute their time and expertise to teach reining basics and show skills to non pros wanting to become better horsemen. The Youth are a thriving part of the organization, along with our dedicated professionals and committed volunteers. For your convenience, we've provided an online directory of RMRHA Trainers and other Services provided by our members. We sanction a series of NRHA-approved reinings that comprise the Affiliate Circuit Qualifying Shows. Along with the NRHA Affiliate program, our organization also recognizes its own members in their pursuit of reining excellence at the RMRHA year-end awards banquet.
