Happy Horse Hoods

Several years ago, Denise (presently of Happy Horse Hoods) saw a need, as a "woman of presence" to custom make show clothing at affordable prices. She was tired of searching and searching to find those "rare" plus sizes, and then have to settle on a color that she didn't really like, for a price that hurt the pocketbook. Out of need, she taught herself to sew - and things have built up from there. Primarily focusing on sleazy hoods for horses in 2006, Happy Horse Hoods was created and began building a presence in Atlantic Canada. In 2007, Happy Horse Hoods went "on the road" and were vendors at the "MQHA Equine Review" in Sussex, New Brunswick, and the "Can Am Equine Emporium" in Truro, Nova Scotia. Along with her hoods, tail bags and lycra blankets, Denise also acquired dealership status for Premier Hair Care Products and Accent Halters. These products were not, at the time, readily available in Canada, but had been passed on to Denise and her family by members of a variety of online horse forums. We are proud to say that Rocky Valley Paints and the Neal family have been using both Premier's hair care products and Accent halters on our horses for over five years and do not use any other products! What better testimonial for a product than a salesperson who uses it day to day and can tell you exactly how good the product is? 2008 began the making of show shirts for the public - starting as simple rail shirts with detachable French cuffs, and evolving into more intricate, involved applique work. Happy Horse Hoods appeared as vendors at the "Atlantic Horse Fair" in Truro, Nova Scotia, as well as the "MQHA Equine Review" in Sussex, New Brunswick, and Denise has plans for appearances at several shows across New Brunswick during the summer of 2008. Happy Horse Hoods uses only the highest quality fabrics that are comfortable to wear, durable, and catch the eye in the show ring. Denise is very adept at taking requests and making them into what you had in mind. She can combine various patterns, enlarge patterns, and work with a variety of fabrics, while keeping the clothing as affordable as possible.
