That's great! :) I have four two Quarter horses and two Thoroughbreds a 6 year old and a yearling in each breed lol
I know the feeling!!! I plan to buy my own in a few years when I graduate... Then I can live the equestrian life.. (:
I know what you mean. I bought my horse in January and he has turned out to be amazing. You will love having your own horse. :) trust me, im loving it. Although my horse is expensive because hes a TB. :/
Wow that's great! Good for you! I totally agree horses are a big part of life and enjoying life. It can get stressful sometimes but it always smooths out. Keep your eye on the prize and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel :)
Ya I at least wish I had my horses all in one place lol :)
I own a rescue:) I ride just a little of everything, but mainly English (hunters), my horse is an American Saddlebred, an Amish horse before they sent him to slaughter, where the rescue found him. But he has turned out to be great. His name is Elvis, registered name is All Shook Up, but I call him L lol. Oh, and I'm 13 too.
Lucy's only 10 and she was abused, starved, neglected and malnourished.. we put weight on her and now we're workin on her feet.. they're terrible. buuut im currently training her on the ground for lots of stuff so hopefully, she does better in the long run. i've had her 2 1/2 years.. and man, it sure is hard work having a horse you have to really watch for the smallest sign of something wrong!
but i know in the end it's worth it.. :) haha. message me or something. we can talk. (:
I'm 14 and I have a Thoroughbred mare that is off the track. She had two bowed tendons when she came off the track and one was pretty bad. Her time was run out when I found her. We got her for free but if you take one look of her now she could easily go for $5,000. She is an amazing her with tons of spirit and heart. I love her to pieces and I am happy she is my first horse. (I have been riding since I four though and my family has had a lot of race horse throughout the years.)
By the way I just joined and I am excited about this group! :)
I'm 13 and I just joined this group and I am very excited because I live in a big city so there aren't many people I can talk to about horses.
Nice to meet you and welcome to Equestrian Life!!! :) My horses are my world too! I have a 5 year old Thoroughbred mare and two 7 month old colts. One of the colts is a Thoroughbred and the other is a Quarter Horse. The Thoroughbred colt is out of my Thoroughbred mare, and the Quarter Horse colt is from Texas. :) Don't you love the babies?!
