Hello! I just signed up for this site today! I just recently moved to Texas from Wisconsin. My horses are FINALLY able to be at home with me instead of a stable 45 minutes away! I'm so excited! I have 2 Paint Mares. 1 is 15 the other is 5. My older one is pregnant and due any week! (2 to 4 weeks left.) Her baby is an oldenburg baby out of Ironman :) I have been doing the home program with my 5 year old since she was 2. I am happy to say I have been able to do all of her training myself! If anyone has any advice for me, I would love to hear it! I work her under saddle 6 days a week now, since I am finally able to be more consistant with her. However, she has always gotten into these fits that I have always worked her out of. She will randomly want to quit working and get "stuck" I have to turn her to keep her moving and sometimes she throws little bucks or rears. I know she does not have a mean bone in her body. What would you recomend to get through this more efficiently?
Hi! I've just joined this group and know I will enjoy it greatly...I've also created 2 new groups and am trying to connect with Floridians to check out & join 'Florida Horse Lovers!'...:-) 2nd group is for POA lovers--'POA's (Appaloosa Ponies)'...
