This group is for anyone with a psycho horse or pony but no matter how many times you get dumped you cant help but love them. I have a pony who bucks rears bolts and has been to two trainers but everytime he comes home he turns spycho again but i cant help but love him even though hes bucked me off and bolted on me and everything. The funny thing is when he dumps me he turns around an nudges me to see if im alright. Any who has, knows, has stories, rides, or just loves horses is welcome!

So, were just riding around on a loose rein in the pastures just enjoying ourselves, and a bird flies into a tree. He goes NUTS. He's not really a big spooker, I mean he never bucks or bolts or anything, but he can spin away on his haunches really fast sometimes when he spooks. lol. *sigh* I just don't get it sometimes.

And like when I took him to the beach, he LOVED the water and the people and everything. Theres trash flying everywhere, waves crashing, people screaming. Then we come up to a flock of seagulls. Need I say more? lol

my horse heard a echo of a hammer the other day and freaked out on the crossties but of course like 6 months ago we went to a dispooking clinic and she could care less about the chain saw and the bag pipes xD

Idk what this thead is about... but I have a story about my horse being psycho! :)
Whenever he decides he doesn't want me to ride him, when I'm picking out his hooves, sometimes he lays down. lol He's completely off his little horsie rocker.

Yeah, my horse Major is like that too. He's young and I'm still in the process of training him so I gotta give him some slack. But sometimes he'll be going great, then suddenly just freak out! When he sees me on the ground or trying to catch the rope that just went flying out of my hands, he'll just stop and come to me like "O my gosh what happened to you?" He getts the sweetest look on his face that I just have to laugh. I can't be mad at him it's impossible:)

i can pretty much relate. i dont own my own horse but i ride at a barn and they had a paint pony who liked to test his riders but this would include bucking, rearing, spinning around, backing up,basically anything to get the rider off. i had the pleasure of riding this pony and he and i half clicked (more than other people who had ridden him) tho he would still try to buck me off on the flat (he was a dream when we jumped) then one day i felt like i was going to faint while i was on him so i dismounted and just sat on the sand right there beside him, he was so confused and nudged me as if he was saying "what happened? i didnt throw you! im sorry!" was too cute! tho the barn had to get rid of him because only a few of us were willing to ride him :( would love to find him again someday! :D

I can relate to that story. My horse wasn't socialized very well as a young one and his owner was afraid of him. So he developed a fear of people. He's still young too which has an impact on his behavior. But he's gotten so much better. He isn't afraid of me anymore and we're to the point where he plays tricks on me. He loved pulling the cords of my sweatshirt!
