I love thoroughbreds as well. While I don't have horse now, I am planning to see about getting a Thoroughbred myself. In the mean time I hope to learn as much as I can from everyone, I can't be too prepared!

i would sugjest the OTTB's we have had three and there almost the best horses i have ever owned they only got beat by my little mustang pony and only in the brains everything else the thoroughbred won :)

Hey everyone, i'm new to Equestrian Life and of course therefore new to this group. My first horse was a wonderful off the track thoroughbred by the name of Hello Boy. We called him Draco. He was a wonderful horse. Unfortunately due to over racing he had some knee and hoof conditions that eventually caused me to have to put him down. But i gave him 6 years of the best life i knew how to give. He is greatly missed. I have two other thoroughbreds. One has been with him since they were on the track he is Slewed Jury, grandson of Seattle Slew, now known as Kona, and the other is Hampton (never been raced as far as we know). Horses are beautiful creatures to begin with, but thoroughbreds....wow!

Hey I'm really new to Equestrian Life too and I wanna know how this all works, and get to know people and stuff. My first horse is a off the track thoroughbred and I love him more then life itself!!!

Hey I'm brand new to this Equestrian Life. My very first horse whome I've only had for 3 years is a Thoroughbred!! He's a retired racer ^_^ Don't think I'll ever have any other breed, He is the biggest sweet heart I've ever met!

I totally agree!! i leased two other horses that were other breeds but my first horse (the horse in the pic is him) is a tb and i LOVE HIM to death!! thanks for joining the group!
