Terri,
What farm are you going to work on? I've got a good friend in eventing and would love to learn about those kind of opportunities. My first associate with H & H Horse who I sponsor is an eventer. She is on Equestrian Life and she is a wealth of information. Her name is Christy Mackaness.
It will be fine. your horse has your back.

I met Lellie Ward yesterday who is an amazing eventer and has such a great facility in Aiken. She is a world class rider and was just recognized as Master Trainer/Rider of the year by the USEA. If anyone is in the vicintiy of Aiken,SC in late February, don't miss her event at Paradise Farm. They've got 360 eventers coming in and the course is in great shape. You'll be able to see some of the best eventers in the world and you never know who may wander in.

Hi. I am just starting to train one of my former racehorses for eventing. I am new to the sport as well. I have done some hunter in the past, but I have not been to a event with a horse or even to a show in decades! I'm in Texas, so Area V. Looking forward to the spring and the chance to go to some schooling events and learn the ropes. Any advise for a first timer? Anyone close to Bryan, Texas?

I'm in Dallas!
At schooling events it's usually pretty easy to fall in line. when you go recognized, make sure you know your rules.

i am interested in event course design and was curious who has a great reputation in the world of design. I understand there are significant changes that are being put in place for safety as well and would like to know those details. thanks for the response in advance

hi! i'm rachael and i'm from ky. i don't currently own a horse, but am looking hard for one! in the meantime, i'm leasing a fun draft cross from a friend. i'm hoping that we'll be ready for bn in the spring if i haven't found a pony of my own by then.

I'm not a competitive rider at all- in the least bit, in fact, when i forget a course i take my sweet time and jump whatever loop i feel like... however- i am a member of this group because i thoroughly enjoy jumping anything and love the challenges of dressage- tho.... connect with the horse and you can do anything. glad to join up with everyone!! ttys k
