I saw this group and just had to join, as it fits the way I feel also. When I met my husband and he asked me what I do in my spare time i said ride horses. He claimed to like horses too, but a lot of guys claim to like horses. The first time he came over to my place to met the horses, he walked right out into the pasture and stared petting them (with his $200 boots on) I knew he liked horses then. He will go riding with me, but mostly he does all the heavy manly work for me now. Like fixing up the barn helping with the hay, keeping my pickup running. He enjoys supporting my horse hobby that way. He understands how happy the horses make me. He likes motorcycles more then the horses, and i like the horses more then the mortorcycle, but we take turns, some weekends we do horse stuff some weekends we do motorcycle stuff so it all works out.

I had to join this group LOL!! I met my husband when I was 15 and he 24...at the time I'd never taken my attention off a horse long enough to be interested in romance until I saw HIM LOL!! We didn't marry until 22 years later after I divorced and looked him up but we've been together for the last 10 years now...I'm 47 and he 56. He's loves his iron horses but also is a strong animal advocate so he loves our animals-dogs, cat, rabit, fish, chickens & horses LOL! With all this he will apparently never understand why I can be outside with my horses all during the night...
