For people who just simply love horses, and it doesnt matter if they are just mucking stalls all day they would just be happy being around one of our worlds most wonderful animals.

Horses lend us the wings we lack---being born in a stable dose not make 1 a horse---2 ride or not 2 ride? what a stupid question!---Their's nothin' in life thats worth doin' if it can't be done from a horse----there is just as much sense as ever, but the horses have most of it---I can make a general in 5 mins, but a good horse is hard 2 replace---show me ur horse and i will tell u who u r---it is not enough for a man 2 know how 2 ride; he must know how 2 fall---The child who ran weeping 2 u with a cut finger is now brought home, smiling gamely, with a broken collar bone and incrdible contusions- "it wasn't Jezeble's fault, dad."
HOPE U LIKE:)

Every time I see you your eyes bright up,
They always have this speacial shine in them,
I know u can be groutchy,
But you make the best out of it,
you live life with joy,
make new friends,
have fun,
and love,
when ever i ride you,
your like an angle,
your walk may be lazy,
but your trot is amazing,
its so full of energy,
and yet your canter,
feels like i'm a jockey,
theirs nothing better in the world,
nothing can tair us appart,
I LOVE YOU!!!

My Heart My Horse - My Heart Broke Today

I called the herd for their morning meal.
He didn't come and the fear in my heart was immediately real.

He was always there, the head of the herd.
The other horses didn't come for the grain that was offered.
Those equines had a look in their eyes that something was wrong.
I knew in a moment that my pride and joy might be gone.

My heart broke that day.
As I saw Zip in the spot where he lay.

Zippos High Caliber was still beautiful, shiny, and warm.
I'd spent the night before washing and trimming in the barn.
He was silky and clean and ready to show.
All I could do was hug and hold him crying out “no!”

August 1st is a day I will never forget.
Blast the drought, the dust and the humidity that let
my best buddy fall to asthma, that dreadful disease.
I knew in my heart that I couldn't ask “God, please!”

He was gone in his prime and loved by all.
No more trophies or championships or figuring his way out of a stall.
Zip gave his heart in whatever he did.
Be it reining, halter, trail, games, or teaching a kid.

He had almost human-like qualities like no other.
We sadly buried him right beside his dear mother.
Two beloved horses laying side by side.
Thank you to all who rode them, loved them, and cried.

The healing process has barely begun.
I'll never forget the reining patterns that he run.
His speed and his quickness, the collection, the spins.
It was his pride, his heart, his versatility that helped him win.

Now as I stare at his retired bridle and special bit,
those horseshoes, the blankets each with a championship year on it,
I find my heart heavy and sometimes so sad.
I do have Zip's black sister and know that I should be glad.

There forever will be a fondness in my heart
and know that our souls will never be far apart.
I'll look up to heaven and listen for hoofbeats so fast
and know Zip and Blackie are galloping through the grass.

Rest in peace my beautiful red bay.
A piece of my heart went with you that day.

Your poem is beautiful, I cried, I've loved and lost a horse and 3 dogs, and the pain though great at the time will be replaced by fond memories of the good times shared with them. Always remember the best way to honor a beloved pet is to get another one.

Hi I'm Christine! I own a beautiful Moreisian mare that I'm doing Intro to dressage with. I've haven't been riding for long (4 years) but I caught on pretty quickly. I had a bad fall a couple months ago and my horse kicked me in the shoulder. After that I was pertfied of riding again. I was so scared whenever she spooked but im finally got my confidence back!! I'm so happy! I used to be a fearless rider. I still get tense whenever my horse isn't relaxed but once i take a deep breath she relaxes completley. I'm looking for new friends so PLEASE add me (: I love to talk and i would loved to be messaged (:

Hi. I've been having some problems with my Palliminop mare. she was trained a while ago and she hasnt been riden for over 3 years now. I've been trying to get her back into her old rutines and she was doing ok at first, but now shes spooking at everything and shes REALLY jittery like i cant give her very much head because she just takes off. and its not just taking off either. shes bucking and spooking the whole way to the tacking post. my moms really worried and is starting to wonder if letting me back this horse again is a mistake but i really want to get her ridable again so i can have more than one friend over to ride. please help!!! my future in keeping her is at stake!!!!

It might not be your horse. If you are looking around the arena as your riding or evening listening to the things around you and you hear/see something you may be subconsicouly thinking she might spook at that. You need to relax and so will your horse. Also she has been off for a long time she just needs to get in the swing of things again. Have you tried lounging her?? If you do that it will help her ware out that energy before you ride her. Just give her some time. and Good Luck

HI!! I have been riding and working horses since I was 12. I have a 2 year old daughter now and am just getting back into the swing of things. I have some wonderful clients that I am training horses for and can't believe the joy of getting back in the saddle. I love working my babies, but get so much joy from exercise riding older horses also. The best part of all is my daughter is already in love with horses! She has been riding one of my clients ponies (with a side walker and helmet, of course) and talks about her all the time. I can't describe the joy of just being around these beautiful animals. But everyone here understands completely and that is the best feeling.
