Heyy everyone, My horse goes bare foot in the winter, I might get shoes on him in the summer, but i'm not sure, it depends on what the farier says, My horse only gets his frount feet anyways. Me and my horse have an awesome bond that can't be broken. My horse is a clysdale TB, his name is Vinnie, (lol his name matches him whinny, for a big horse, he sure has a light whinny =) ) he is 8. so any questions u can just ask.
Thanks

I have found shoes to be very dangerous on the road, then slip. I would get a pair of easyboot gloves, they would help cushion the hooves and they wouldn't slip.

I love the new Easyboot Glove! I have used it through sucking mud, rocks and roots and it stay put. It doesn't rub my horse or collect dirt and debrie.

Don't the Easyboots make their heels sore? I've never tried it, but I heard that could happen.

Pamela,
I haven't had any problems with the new ones that have the attached gaitor, I don't use the older ones without them.

They have a new boot out, that I am just starting to try, called "The Glove". So far I really like the boot because it doesn't have any hardware. I can't wait to try to try them on longer rides and in the mountains.

I used the "Bares" last year and really liked them.

Thanks for joining the group, good luck with your barefoot horse.

My horses have been barefoot for 2 1/2 years and I love how healthy their feet are and how they look. I can ride them most of the time without boots, but when I go on rocky terrain, I use boots. I am a member of Team Easyboot and have tried lots of different styles of boots, if you have questions please send them to me.

If anyone else has comments on their horses being barefoot, please post it.
