One of the thoughest times of my life came when I had to look into the eyes of Molly, my Quarter Horse mare, as she tried to salvage her last breath. Watching the vet guide her to the ground as she was put down was devastating. I miss her dearly, and can only take comfort in knowing that she is running through greener pastures. That was almost 3 years ago, and it seems as fresh in my mind as though it were yesterday. I love you Molly, you were the greatest, beautiful, fast, and perfect in every way to me ......Love, Mom

I have never lost any of my own, but have lost 3 lesson horses. Teaks who died of old age at 38 (never rode her, just knew her), Schroeder, who got sick and died the year after I left the riding stables, and then Tommy....who colicked 3 years after. His was the worst thing ever, because he was my favorite horse ever, and he was younger than the other two, only about 18.

Sad sad sad.........but with them lost brought many new horses into the lives of the kids who are there now.
