Equestrian Life - Groups: Teens with Horses

hey, I'm new here. I'm 17 and i live in Massachusetts. I have ridden for about 6 or 7 years now. Not too long, but i love it anyway. (And loved horses since i was VERY young.) My aunt has two horses that live in my yard. :P

I, I'm 13 and have been riding 9 years this winter. I own one horse, Lucy, and lease two, Missy and Pete. I just found this group and looked around and I really like it! Just wanted to stop by and say I and I'll be coming back to this group occasionally! :)

Lucy's a rescue, anyone else own a rescue horse?

I own a rescue:) I ride just a little of everything, but mainly English (hunters), my horse is an American Saddlebred, an Amish horse before they sent him to slaughter, where the rescue found him. But he has turned out to be great. His name is Elvis, registered name is All Shook Up, but I call him L lol. Oh, and I'm 13 too.

Lucy's only 10 and she was abused, starved, neglected and malnourished.. we put weight on her and now we're workin on her feet.. they're terrible. buuut im currently training her on the ground for lots of stuff so hopefully, she does better in the long run. i've had her 2 1/2 years.. and man, it sure is hard work having a horse you have to really watch for the smallest sign of something wrong!

but i know in the end it's worth it.. :) haha. message me or something. we can talk. (:

I'm 14 and I have a Thoroughbred mare that is off the track. She had two bowed tendons when she came off the track and one was pretty bad. Her time was run out when I found her. We got her for free but if you take one look of her now she could easily go for $5,000. She is an amazing her with tons of spirit and heart. I love her to pieces and I am happy she is my first horse. (I have been riding since I four though and my family has had a lot of race horse throughout the years.)

By the way I just joined and I am excited about this group! :)

Hi,

I'm going to be 18 years old soon, getting ready to buy my first horse! I had a horse from when I was born to 2006 but I'll actually be buying this one myself. I've always been around horses, except for when my family moved three years ago. I can't wait to finally be back in the world I love so much. Being one with horses is such a sweet part of life. :) I'd love to get to know other passionate people my age, maybe even find someone to ride with eventually.

I miss being around other horse people, but now that I'm older, I can. :)

Does anyone know of any Hunter Jumpers that would be good for lease or sale in the OHIO, WEST VIRGINIA area? I really want to progress in my riding and hopefully find a college to go to next year that i can continue my riding. If you know of anything please message me. Also does anyone know any good trainers that are willing to take on another student in the same area? I am currently a IEA rider and love it because of all the new horses you meet and its a great challenge. If you wanna know more please message me. =D thank you!! Love this group btw. everyones stories are awesome! We need a book for them. Teen Experiences.

one of your most gifted equine healers in this group is in a tight spot and can use some support to get out of a farm foreclosure jam...

We are hoping for a lot of peeps who can do $10...beyond this funding our nonprofit can restructure our financials to include her in our ongoing funding. But we all need help for her to stay with us now...

Hi im 18 and have been in love with horses for as long as I can remember. I have an 8 year old gelding and a 5 month of filly. They are my world :) I dont know where I would be without them :)

Nice to meet you and welcome to Equestrian Life!!! :) My horses are my world too! I have a 5 year old Thoroughbred mare and two 7 month old colts. One of the colts is a Thoroughbred and the other is a Quarter Horse. The Thoroughbred colt is out of my Thoroughbred mare, and the Quarter Horse colt is from Texas. :) Don't you love the babies?!

Hi! I just joined this group :) I have been riding for 8 years and currently own 6 horses! I show on the 'AA' circuit here in zone 7 on my 2 show horses WindWalker and Xaria! My family and I own our own equestrian facility. We purchased it 3 years ago! We are still in the process of fixing up some small stuff (painting fences, repairing fences, etc) It isn't super fancy but it is a great place and gets the job done ;) Message me anytime!
