Always a Project

This is a group for all those who have never bought a horse that didn't have some type of project to it when they got it. Such as: Overweight, injury-recovery, young/untrained, many fears/pulls or runs away, and many others. In this group you can share the stories of all your horses of how they came to you and how they have overcome those problems.

I have had many horses, and nearly all of them have been projects.

Providng the age and breed they were(when sold)

My only good-coming ones :
Hal- arabian - late teens, not sure
Rookie (though he was sold due to allergy to our air)-arabian- about 10 or so
Hans-halflinger-25
Spirit-halflinger-14

Projects in the past who have been sold or given away : (not in order)

(GA)Surprise-rescued, had some handling issues (to good home)-mini-16
(GA)Pee-wee- rescued, many many fears, of even us (ditto)-mini-12
(GA)Ben-had the "wobbles" (into loving home of friend) clydesdale/shire-7
(S)Zach-mental issues, extremely hard to handle (too dangerous) belgian- 4 or 5
(S) Blondy- young and untrained(sold years later) belgian- 6 or 8
(TRADED for Ben)Lizzy-young, untrained, hard to handle, vicious (gave to friends who then gave us Ben (who was later given to another friend)) Thoroughbred/shire-5(?)
(S) Reba- ran away from/over you, untrained-highland pony- 10 or so

All the above horses seriously improved before or after sales/GA.
Although, Zach was so extreme and had no way to fix him, he was sadly shipped to Japan where we don't know any further information on him and what happened to him.Our only hopes are that they might have farmed him.

Age and breed they are now :

Horses I have now :
Ally - young, untrained. Has improved and is nearly broke to ride. we've had her since she was 41/2 mo. shire/percheron - 8
Laney- young untrained, fear of hats. had her since she was 2. belgian/percheron - 4
Sheba- obese. had her since she was 20. appaloosa - 22
Sierra- injury-recovery, slightly fat. had her since she was 13. kiger mustang - 14 (just turned)

These are all the horses I've had in about 10 of my 14 years of life. Loved them all, and hope they are well, and miss o'l Hal, who has been gone for years. He and Zach were our first 2 horses.
