I own a TWH gelding and a 1/2 Walking horse mare. I don't do any showing, I just enjoy trail riding. I live in SC so I get the pleasure of riding all year. I ride my gelding 90% of the time, he is such a good boy. Great ground manners with a big heart once you start riding. My mare is a different story.... Back to basics with her... :)

your walkers has a BEAUTIFUL face. Yes all my walkers are all foundation Breeding. Our Stallion has really good lines of the foundation horses. I have been also looking at a walker mare who apparently has Trigger Jr. [aka Allen's Gold Zepher] in her lines. I just love the breed.

Hi , I ride walkers too. They are great. I have just bought 3 and 1paso fino. I have always loved to ride the gated horse over any other type of horse. I guess it's my age almost 50 now.I'm hoping to get our two daughters into riding with me we adopted two girls that were are foster kids. So this is all new to them. I feel that you can't go wrong getting them into the horse world. Hopefully they will love it as much as I do.. Enjoy

Jessie,
I live in Ohio and have 2 TWH. One is considered a heritage horse. The other is retired, but had the most beatiful rack when he was ridden.

I love the friendliness of the breed. They love people and trust us too much which is why there is abuse of the breed. I believe in getting the best out of your horse without artificial means. I hope you agree.

Hello. We are a "horse" family. We love to trail ride and show. We have two Walkers and 1 American Saddlebred. Our youngest really has inherited "the horse lovebug" while our oldest loves her horse but College is demanding. This summer we are looking forward to more horse time. We love all horses but prefer gaited.
