Anna Hilton

Anna Hilton was born in 1963 in Stockholm, Sweden. She started riding at the age of 7 and has been competing since the age of 9. When she was 19, she began eventing and has been competing professionally since 1990. In 1988, Anna moved to the UK to compete. Her intention was to stay for 6 months but she has been here ever since!

Anna has been a team member of the Swedish National Eventing Team for 2 decades now and has competed worldwide. In the mid 1990’s, Anna was the leading Swedish rider and was ranked 2nd female rider in the world. She competed in the Olympics in 1996 and has competed in the World Championships 3 times. Anna is currently preparing for 3 days events in Blenheim and Burghley this autumn and the World Championship in Sweden.

In between competitions, Anna runs a livery business, buys and sells horses and of course, as a qualified instructor, also teaches. Anna married an Englishman in 1988 and has 2 daughters aged 4 and 7.

  • European Champion Team Gold, 1992- 96.
  • Badminton CCI**** placed 6 times.
  • Burghley CCI**** placed 6 times.
  • Has ridden in the World Championships 3 times - 1990, 1992 and 1998
  • Competed in the 1996 Olympics in Barcelona.
  • Second Best Leading Lady 1993.
  • Many won and placed in eventing competitons in CIC***
