Drs. Kalarikkal K. and Vilasini D. Jayaraman, an Indian-born couple who moved to the United States 45 years ago, have been actively involved in racing since 1983. Under the banner of Tiffany Farms, they campaigned Grade 1 winner Irish Actor, who finished seventh in the 1989 Kentucky Derby (G1). The Jayaramans have also bred a number of major performers, including 2007 La Brea S. (G1) heroine Dearest Trickski. Among the notable homebreds raced by the Jayaramans are Proudest Romeo and his son, Comic Truth, who decimated the field by 10 lengths in the 2003 Oklahoma Derby (G3); Grade 2 turf star Royal Spy; the smart Calder juvenile Stolen Time; multiple stakes scorer Explosive Beauty; and current stakes victress Affirmed Truth. They have ranked as the leading owners at Oaklawn Park.
