A busy and very successful 2008 season saw Georgie chosen as a member of the Gold medal-winning British Team for the European YR Championships at Kreuth in Germany. Towards the end of 2006, Georgie was also selected onto the UK Sport - World Class Start Programme. The programme is aimed at young riders who could be potential Olympic candidates in the future. This runs for two years at a time and is a lottery funded scheme offering financial support as well as regular training days and sessions from top trainers. In November 2008 she was reselected for another 2 years.
