John French grew up on a farm outside Baltimore, Maryland where his mother was a riding instructor. He now lives and trains in Northern California.

Over the past 20 years, John has guided both horses and students alike to multiple successes in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings. Professional Highlights:

  • Horse(s): Crown Affair and C. Quito

  • Farm name: Waldenbrook Farm
  • When started riding: 3 years old

  • What makes a horse a "Derby" horse: Crown Affair’s athletic ability to jump all of the four-foot options with ease and his dependable and quiet attitude

  • Other activities: Amateur recording artist
