Jennifer and Roger Smith own a barn in Grand Prix Village, Wellington, Florida and also maintain a farm in North Carolina. The couple enjoys importing young horses and bringing along prospects. Several years ago, Jennifer decided to surprise her husband with Castello. She told her trainer, Jack Towell, that she wanted to find Roger a jumper, and together they selected “Casey,” an import from Europe. “We bought him to be a jumper for my husband, but he’s turned out to be a really nice hunter,” Jennifer says.
