About Me

I've been working and riding in the horse world for about 10 years. I bought my fabulous thoroughbred gelding proton in june of 08. Im all about natural horsemanship. I can ride about anything, I've even ridden a goat! I absolutely love horses. Their beauty, grace, spirit, energy, and everything else a horse is makes me happy.

I've had my share of broken bones and other internal injuries, and i still love them. I've only had 2 serious injuries. My first jumper show I decided to warm up with out my trainer and of course I fell and broke my neck! It was minor but i had a crack in my T2 vertebrae. I was apparently paralyzed partially in my left leg for about 17 minutes! The next week I was back up in the saddle! My other serious injury was weird. This happened about 3 years ago. We were at a show in mt. orab and we were getting ready to leave and as we were closing the windows on our 3 horse slant my horse pulled of his halter and head bumper. He was the first one in the trailer so i couldn't just go in and put it back on. My trainer was being impatient and told me to just put it back on. So i get up on the ledge reach in and almost have it on hen he throws his head up, pinning my wrist between his head and the window frame. He then nudges me with his nose really hard. That frustrated me but whatever I got it on and closed the windows. I got in the car and we left. About 20 minutes later I start eating chips and salsa and it was really burning and I didn't know why. The pain would not go away. The next day i was still in a lot of pain and was having trouble breathing so my mom took me to an urgent care. Apparently I had a dislocated my rib from my T4 vertebrae and it lacerated my esophagus and punctured my lung. I had air, liquids, and other particles in my thoracic cavity. It took me about 2 months to recover and I still have nerve and muscle damage in that spot today. I still love my pony!

I've done a lot of work around a lot of farms. I've bailed hay, had to stack it on the wagon when our kicker died. I've laid fencing and built stalls, repaired stalls. I am one of the best grooms and stall cleaner you'll find in my area. I was also Assistant manager of Walnut Creek Stables. I am a damn hard worker because I work for the horses. Not the business. I also teach beginner and novice lessons. I've worked with many of my friends "problem" horses. I never fight with a horse. I form relationships with my horses and not a dominant relationship. We are a partnership. I can ride through first level test 1 bareback and bridleless on my 6 year old thoroughbred. I can jump anything up to 3ft bareback and bridleless, even in the field.

Anything else you what to know just ask! I have many more stories!
