About Me
Lets seeee.... . It took me 2 times to fall of a horse and break both my arms to realize that I really do like horses and had to learn how to ride before getting on bareback and not having a clue what I was doing!
Ive been riding for about 17 years and am no where finished what I want to accomplish through riding. Been fox hunting a few times when I was younger... did showing circuit in/ around De as well when I was younger. After high school I went on to go to Meredith Manor Equestrian Center (school) in WV to learn about every angle of the horse, dressage, jumpers/ hunters, and some western, horse health, farrier, and the way of living in a old run down indoor riding ring....yes there were walls and beds.. and showers, It wasnt a good year to say the least. But now I am a certified riding instructor.
Then went on to Delaware Tech to receive a Associates Degree in Graphic Design/ Visual Communications... did a few internships here and there while I was teaching riding lessons on the side.
I wanted to experience the life of a traveling groom. A few 4 years ago I went and worked for a top Judge in MD and we traveled down to FL to Ocala for about 5 weeks with about 4-5 horses. It was a great experience to say the least, but it was the hardest job I think i have ever had to face... 80 hr weeks.... and see some of the cutest guy riders you can ever imagine.. straight or not straight! haha!
Now I am working full time as a Graphic Designer in Wilmington, De and I teach about 2 days a week and ride when I can. Showing isnt really all that much in the works anymore, but I do it when I can at local shows.. but my one goal is to at least get to Devon or a top well known show....riding someone's horses... but that requires some money, word of mouth, and knowing some people with some money!
