About Me
I lost my dad when I was 2 years old. He was killed in a car accident. So, I started off bad. But, my mom got re-married to Andrew, my step dad. My older brother is bipolar and my younger brother has down syndrome. I'm the middle child and the only girl. So, I got into horses, and that, has made a big difference in my life.
I started riding when I was 7. And that was 7 years ago now. I got my first horse when I was 10, his name was Shakar. He was an Arab/Appaloosa cross. He is what got me into jumping. He died 2 years later of colic.... After that my mom bout Tucker, we shared him. He is an 8 year old gelding and he was over-jumped at a young age. He was spoiled rotten by his owner and he need a LOT of training. He's cooled off now.... a little. And a year ago now I got my very own horse. Megan. When I got her, she had been trained as a barrel racer, and she still has some of that in her. She cuts her corners. But, with a lot of hard work and training. She is now taking me over 3'6 fences with no effort at all. I'm so proud of her.
