About Me
I have been riding for almost 9 years. I started out in western/barrel racing for about 2 months and then switched to the Hunter/Jumpers. I have been under the same trainer/barn since my start in HJ. After about 1 year of riding my parents got me my first horse, Jazz. We sold her about 1 year later and then got my first show horse, Deeds. He was an OTT Quarter horse that I trained with the help of my trainer to become a great horse and when I resold him about 4 years later, we about tripled his purchase price. Then came the horse I have now, Rocky. I bought him about 1 month after selling Deeds. At the time he was 4 years old and unbroke. I wasnt even sure that I wanted him when we went down to the breeders to do a pre-purchase on him. I am now extremly happy that I own him and he is by far the best horse I've owned. I have broke a few horses in my time of riding, including Rocky. I have helped my trainer with many horses to re-train them and sell them. I give lessons to beginning riders and have a lot of fun. I hope to be involved with horses in some way for the rest of my life. I have had a few unique experiences during my time of riding from exersising a racehorse to being able to diverse my span of riding into other disiplines through AQHA and the local barn that I work for. I am slightly educated in western as well, from showmanship to horsemanship and pleasure. I am currently training a quarter pony stud in western pleasure and he is amazing :)
FYI: I am only listed on here as a professional for that I have worked with horses in turn for money, I have no formal education other than 9 years of riding lessons and quite a few years of pure experience with many horses. I have no formal position as an instructor or trainer, although I aspire to in a few years.
