About Me
I have been working with horses since I was 10. My first horse was a Three bars grandaughter out of a Poco bred mare. We learned what to do and not to do together, when i look back at some of the stupid things I tried without help its a wonder I didn't get seriously hurt. My mother could not afford lessons for me so I learned by watching the other kids take them, then trying them out myself. I receved my first stallion at 13 and have been breeding, training and showing since. When Candy past on I didn't buy another horse for quite a while. Then a friend of mine took me to Arabian Nationals in Louisville and I was flat in love and knew i just had to have one. Well with the price of them at that time it took me until the mid 80's to achieve that. I have been working with them since and while I still like the other breeds, I prefer my Arabs to anything else. I turned pro in 91 and until my divorce was doing very well in Florida. I have since downgraded to the mare i own in Mo and am now a traveling trainer. Which means that I go to other peoples barn/home to train or give them lessons as I have not found the property I want up here yet. My two boys love being on the farm and keep asking when we are moving onto one. Hopefully it won't take too much longer before I find the right place.
I have been given the opportunity to own one of Ravenwood Ranch's 3 year old boys. He is a black stallion with white feet, his sire is Ravenwood Qahtahn the dam is Ravenwood Cassara, he is a Straight Egyptian who I will be showing Show Hack and Dressage. He has a wonderful floaty trot. I am looking forward to bringing him home. He will be offered at stud this spring.
