About Me

Hey I'm Madi!
I've been riding horses since I was about 6 or 7 and since then, I could never stop loving them. At first I took riding lessons in the summer and attended ranch camp once a year for a week. About 3 years later when I was 11, I was finally able to take a step further and lease a horse. I leased a horse named CAT and joined a local 4-H group. I rode western for all those years and competed at a couple of shows and at the fair. But after fair, I wasnt able to lease CAT anymore due to financial reasons at the time. Then, two days before christmas, my 4-H advisor called me about a dapple grey horse for sale that wasnt too far away from my house. My mother had told me that she was planning to get me a horse, because our financial problems were basically recovered. And I was excited, because i got to go...HORSE SHOPPING! I wanted to pick out just the right one for me. But of course I couldnt spend too much. So I hooked up with this lady and she emailed me pictures of this horse that her brother brought up from Tennesse. And he was gorgeous. He was a tall handsome dapple grey appendix gelding, only 5. I finally went to go look at him and he put his face right up to mine. And I knew I had to have him. He was trained as a reigning horse, so all he did was run in circles and back up. I had to break the habit of that. But the day before chirstmas eve, my mom gave the check for $3500 and he was mine. It took A LOT of training to get Rebel where is today, but he learned quickly and was smart. He's now a hunter horse. I got that $3500 out of this horse. Beautiful tail, body, willingness, strong, color, big, dappled grey, responsive, kind, friendly, curious, outgoing. It fitted my personality perfectly. But most importantly, I found my best friend. I continue to train him and he learns something new all the time. He likes to work, does his job. Whether its a hard workout in the arena or a trail ride, he gives me his all. I loved everything about this horse i asked what his name was and when I found out it was "Rebel" I knew he was for me. And we're a perfect team. I love Rebel with all my heart. Best Freinds Forever
Rebel had a roaring problem two years ago and was taken to the hospital for surgery. He was there for a week, I even missed important testing to get him down to Columbus. And everyday i had to clean his wound, which was basically a hole in his esophagus. He healed just fine and is breathing correctly.

Rebel is related to mulitiple western pleasure, jumping, and racing champions. His bloodlines relate with Mito Commander and Mito Paint, Sonny Dee Bar, Pocho Pecho, Poco Bueno, Native Dancer, and Three Bars.
