About Me
I'm 22 years old and horse are one fo the greatest passions in my life. I have been riding for over four years. Despite only having four years in the saddle I've been going to school and riding consistantly under the instruction of a coach who has a lifetime of experience showing against some of the top horse trainers in the country. In the time under her I have improved dramatically and I'm currently 13 points from IHSA Regionals. I have spent countless hours riding both huntseat and western, though my huntseat instructor was more of an eventer. I ride like an eventer because that is how I am most comfortable in a huntseat saddle, but my strongest abilities are in western riding.
I bought my first horse two years ago, my mare meadowoods lace(Lacie), and I just got my first gelding as a christmas gift Make A Wish On Me(Comet). Despite having one of the top coaches in the country(IN My opinnion) and another who will be someday, I still have alot to learn. My goal is to learn to train horses by listening to them and what they are telling me, but that isn't the number one goal in my life. I have been around horses for years before riding and competing. During my childood I learned alot about pain, loss, and loneliness. I turned to the horses I had known throughout my childhood to over come the obsticles I faced. Because of that I want to reach out to foster children and change their lives using horses. I want to start a ranch for children in fostercare where they can learn to build relationships, gain trust and honesty, learn about responsability and dependability, and just learn to be kids. It's rough living in their world. Though I have never had to endure foster care I knew a very special little girl who did. A little girl who changed my life forever because the world I saw her living in was deplorable and her foster parents treated her like she was a bad child and honestly she was just your normal three year old child. That little girl could have used a horse to talk to. Some one who would just listen and not coment. SOme place she could turn where she felt safe and loved. That's what I wamt to do with my life and with horses give children who don't have one a safe and loving place to turn.
