About Me
Hey my name is Jessie and I'm 13 almost 14 in February. I live in Ottawa Ontario but moved 2 years ago from Calgary. I still go there every summer to watch the Calgary Stampede and meet up with my friends there. I have a little sister who has a pony named Bubble Gum (who used to be mine) and just bought a little Connemara gelding name Jack.
I ride mainly English and do A level hunter jumper, dressage, eventing, and show jumping. I recently lost my coach as she decided to go back to showing and now am looking for a coach who has experience showing and coaching all those things in the A level. Sometimes at local fairs I do short stirrups on a pony from the farm named Shortie who's awesome. Also at local fairs I sometimes do western games and western pleasure on my friend's quarter horse. I show mainly in Ontario, New York, and Quebec but every summer go down to Lexington Kentucky for a big show they have there, this summer I'm going down to Tennessee for a big jumpers show, and this winter me and my friend and 2 other girls are probably going down to Florida to show of for a week! I can't wait for Florida because winter here has been terrible.
When I was little my grandma owned a small stable in Calgary so I learned to ride there then moved on to the higher level stables. When I moved to Ontario it took a long time to find the perfect stable but I did (well it's not a perfect stable but it's pretty good) and now have my 3 soon to be 4 horses there. Where I ride they have 2 indoor arenas (one really small one and one big) so that when lessons are going on boarders can ride in the smaller one. The farm also has over 30 horses and not enough lessons/ riders to ride them all so I can ride the horses pretty much whenever I want.
My friend trains horses so i help her sometimes and lately we've been training 2 Belgians who i love so much. they are trained to drive and are green broke and are for sale as the owner is no longer able to care for them so just message me if your interested.
I adore my horse and love riding them. They are all well trained and amazing at showing. This year will be Beauty's first show season and I can't wait.
My horses are:
starlight- appaloosa x Hanoverian- blanketed- 8 years old- starlight is 16.2 hh and is an amazing eventer/ dressage horse. She jumps 4 feet easily and can do up to level 2 dressage. she is so sweet and friendly and is my favorite out of all my horses. Starlight and i every year go down to Lexington Kentucky to show for a week and she always comes home with tones of ribbons!
dutchess- dutch warmblood- light bay- 6 years old- dutchess is the tallest horse i own she's 17.1hh and does amazing in hunter. she has perfect conformation and is really nice and smooth also an amazing jumper. Last year my coach jumped her over 5 feet and she did amazing never knocking a pole. I have jumped 4.9 with her but don't have the nerves yet to go any higher. she almost always places even in really high levels and i am hoping to take her to the royal winter fair next year if we qualify(haven't tried yet but my coach and i both think she and i could make it) which would be amazing.
beauty- Oldenburg- chestnut- 4 years old- beauty is 17hh and still might grow a little more (she might actually beat dutchess) but I'm hoping not as she is already tall enough. She is really hyper but a complete sweet heart. I haven't shown her yet but am training her right now and am hoping to get her trained to compete in the A circuit with me so i don't have to use the farm's horses.
for Christmas my parents are probably getting me a gorgeous 16.3hh Hanoverian gelding. He's trained and shown in eventing and dressage cant wait!
I just got a new rare breed thats bred for show jumping. Her name is Tuscany Rose (aka Tuscany). I love her she's awesome. Her breed is Zangersheide it's an amazing breed an I'm so honored to have Tuscany as it is a VERY expensive breed as well.
