About Me
Been a while since I've updated this. Right now I'm finishing my first semester in college and have taken up Huntseat and Western Equitation with the university's Eq Team. It's been a pretty awesome year through that and I've grown a lot in my riding ability. This summer I'm heading up to CO to do lead some guided trails and maybe start a few colts. It'll be my first summer away from home so I'm pretty nervous but I know God will take care of me. Really hoping this will be a positive and life changing experience. If not, it'll still be a story to tell. I have three horses but am only working on right now (as she's the lucky one who gets to spend the next four years in college with me haha). We've gone from wild running crazy thing to slightly calmer, giving to pressure type of horse. I'm thinking I'd like to versatility with her when she's a little more stable and consistent in her training. For right now we're just sticking with walk, gait, pressure and release. Our biggest problem is probably differentiating between leg means go and leg means move (as in over, back, across, up) but she's doing well with it.
In two days I'm leaving for Colorado and will be gone until August 22. It's going to be a long, hard, summer but I know it will be an amazing experience. In honesty it's pretty nerve racking right now, like an explosion of emotions and sensations. It's truly exhilarating. I've changed a lot from the kid I was into the woman I'm becoming and I do believe this will help me on that journey. Have fun in life and life it to its fullest and holiest. God Bless.
