Hey All,
I've loved horses since I was a little girl. Sadly, my parents never encouraged my interest so I didn't start riding until I was much older and had kids of my own! Now my daughter has been riding for 3 years (2 years English and 1 year Western), my son just started Western this last year (08), and I have been riding for the last 2 years (1 year English and 1 year Western).
We own 7 acres and are trying to get some land prepared with fencing and a shelter so we can get a horse or two of our own!
While I love the large breeds to play with, my preference is the quarter horse or halflinger to ride.
Our instructor has done competitive reining in the past and through him we are gaining an interest and an appreciation for the sport.
I look forward to meeting like-minded people who love to talk about horses among other things.
