Hi my is April and my horse's name is Hero. I rescued Hero April of 08. The people who had him were pretty evil people. They tried to pull it off as he was fine just a little brusing of his hoof but the truth is he was suffering from an extreme case of neglect. He was in a muddy pasture and that caused him to get seedy toe. He never had proper shoeing on time and caused his coffin bone to rotate. They told me he was a hard keeper but I guess when you only throw him a flake a it will make any horse a hard keeper. Bottom line was Hero was not a quarter horse and was worthless to those people so they let him rot. But now Hero has moved on and is on his way to complete recovery. He follows all the doctors orders and is healing a lot fast then expected. He has the most unquie personality and everyone who meets him falls in love. Hero is in my life to stay and will never have to worry about being neglected even if I can never ride him.
