About Me
I've been around horses and riding for about 40 years. I did go to Lake Erie College for two years and really took to dressage there. They had a super dressage program. I ended up graduating from art school with a BFA.
Now, I trail ride. I adopted Beasley at 18 months . He is a PMU. He's a TB/QH/Percheron cross and he is 16 hands and is 10 years old. He does tend to have a sore back and I've kept up my dressage with him to help with his back. Mainly at the walk, we work on all sorts of lateral work. Anything with crossing over behind, really, really helps his back.
I have been riding English all my life and recently bought an Abetta Endurance, really a western saddle with no horn. So when someone asks if I ride English or western, I never know what to say these days...Technically, we do everything English but we use a western saddle...I have to say, this little Abetta is so lightweight, only about 10 lbs.
Now my riding is all about relaxation and relieving stress. I don't show anymore and am perfectly happy to mosey around the trails...
