I have recently aquired a new eventing pony that I am starting from scratch. We have made it to about 2' with our jumps but when we get higher than that he won't pick up his feet. Does anyone have any Ideas of how to get him to lift his feet the rest of the way?

I am 14 years old and have been riding since i was about 5. I began to show competetivly when I was about 9 (when I started 4-H). I am recently beginging to venture out of my western pleasure comfort zone and try some new riding styles. My favorite so far is eventing. I show for the Zeeland West equestrian team where
I compete in speed events, jumping, pleasure and riening; I might even ride saddle seat this year!
