About Me
I have been riding for a good, solid 8 years, going on 9 this October. I have been jumping horses since the beginning and leased out 2 QH geldings September 2008 and when the lease was up in April 2009, we started looking for a horse of my own. He is in my profile picture. He is a light bay Thoroughbred gelding, 10 years old, 16.1hh and his name is Buddy. He is an ex-racehorse so he's still pretty fast and still has the energy of a racehorse. There is a 99.7% chance my parents are adopting him for me within the next two weeks. We are going to lease him out to someone in need of wanting to continue riding or they can't afford a horse of their own at the time, and for the days I am busy during school, taking vacations, etc. I have someone there to ride and exercise him for me. We are still unsure of his boarding arrangements, but the horizon's looking pretty good for us now!
I have many, many ribbons as well from numerous shows throughout my life. I have 4 Grand Champion ribbons and 5 Reserve Champion ribbons. When I was 13 I got 3 1sts, 3 2nds, 1 3rd and a 4th, a good sportsmanship ribbon, a Grand Champion ribbon AND Reserve Champion ribbon all in one day. It felt pretty good to know, that that one show I won overall the best rider in the entire english division for the weekend. I was so happy. I hope to carry on this dream throughout high school. I am going to be a Sophmore in my high school this September, and will carry on and continue to realize my dream of becoming one of the most amazing riders out there. I also hope to continue to carry out my dream through college, joining the college's Hunter/Jumper Equestrian team, compete at non-local and local shows, nationally recognized shows, and "College Recognized" shows! =]
