About Me
To simplify things, here is the "About the Instructor" blurb from my website lol. I don't normally talk about myself in the third person. ; P
Laura is a recent college graduate where she has completed a bachelor's degree in Equestrian Studies. She is also a CHA riding instructor, certified to teach both english and western lessons. Laura has been riding, showing, and working with horses for over 12 years and teaching and training horses since 2005. She has ridden or competed in huntseat, dressage, eventing, show jumping, western pleasure, western gaming, and trail riding and has also had the opportunity to do some driving. She designed a college course focusing on seat lessons on the lunge line while in school that helped riders to fine-tune their riding skills and develop secure, accurate, and balanced seats. She was invited to give a clinic on the course during a CHA regional conference in 2008. She has gained experience studying with FEI licensed judge Carel Eijkenaar, and with Walter Zettl, author of Dressage in Harmony and coach of the 1984 bronze-medal winning Olympic dressage team. Laura loves to apply what she has learned about classical dressage training to improve horses and riders in all disciplines and strives to provide a fun, safe learning environment for every student.
