About Me
I am mostly a beginner to riding horse's because I have been on and off of them for the last few years. I wanted to start trotting again, but the gelding I was riding had a past leg injury and I wasn't allowed to trot him just walk. That was last year. When I last got lessons in 2008 I was also trying to get back into the trot. I have to still get back into the trot yet again and then I can't wait to learn to canter. I am getting my own horse is June 2011 and so she is going to teach me a lot. My friend/trainer is going to train her because she is only 3 years old. While that is going on I am going to be getting a lot of lessons. I have loved horses ever since I started riding them here and there. My grandma had 3 horses and sold them all due to the cost and a back injury. I only got lead around on them because I was still pretty young and we had to travel to see them.
When I was 11 years old back in 2004 I got lessons with a group of people and we learned about the horse and English riding was our subject. We learned showmanship on the ground and how to balance when riding. I had a lot of fun when we were doing that. I used to want to ride Western, but I love riding English it is a lot more challenging because of the balancing. But I love working on my balance and feeling the horse underneath me. I plan on doing Hunt Seat and Jumping when my horse is fully trained and developed for it! I am 17 years old right now and will be 18 this year.
I am a big animal person and plan on going to college for Large Animal Veterinarian! I have a Cocker Spaniel her name is Bella. Then like I said I am getting my first horse in June 2011! I am super excited and can't wait. So far I have been waiting 6 months to get my horse and I still have 3 months left. The woman selling her to me is so nice and has reserved her for me. I have now put a deposit down on her because other people were showing interest in her and she even had a higher offer. But being the wonderful person that she is she turned them down and told me that she wants her to go with me. So then I sent in the deposit to reassure her that I was not backing out of getting this magnificent mare. She is an Appaloosa buttermilk buckskin. Around 15.2hh now and should reach 15.3hh. She is almost 3 years old. I am just so thankful that she is going to be my filly! You can see pictures of her in my album her name is Simone!
