Has been an Equestrian Life Member since October 08, 2009, lives in Savannah, Georgia, United States and considers herself a Amateur in the Western discipline of Hunter / Jumper and Dressage and Trail and Western Riding and Barrel Racing and Gymkhana . She also rides English Hunter / Jumper and Barrel Racing and Gymkhana .
I've been riding for 15+ years and have done a little bit of everything! I started riding English, equitation & jumpers, and competed for a number of years on the show circuits on Long Island, NY. I've ridden in hunter paces, which I love, have trained & breezed Quarter Horse racehorses, have ridden on a drill team, been to a reining clinic, ridden hundreds of miles of trails on a smooth walking Tennessee Walking Horse, trained numerous horses, run barrels, learned basic dressage, ridden by moonlight, taken bareback rides on snow covered trails & so much more!
I am currently training three Quarter Horse racehorses, one of which I started under saddle all by myself as a two year old and have watched grow into a stunning, currently undefeated racehorse. I love my racehorses very much, and am blessed that their owner is letting me ride & train them. I hung up my english boots, almost for good, when I moved to GA. I have fallen in love with barrel racing and feel most comfortable turnin' & burnin'.
I live by this quote: "The best gift a rider can give a horse is to become a better rider."
It's why I'll never stop learning & will always look to other sources for other ways to improve my riding.
