About Me

I have been riding for 10 years. I have trained all three of my horses with my trainers help. I have broke horses, trained horses, run barrels and poles, done hunters, jumpers, and now my passion is eventing. Im also going to start fox hunting. I love horses and I plan on riding them all my life. I have an amazing trainer, Del Wideman, And we train by progressive horsemanship. None of my horses have ever had a bit any heavier than a full cheek snaffle in their mouths, even on x-country. I plan on going to the Olympics. and I have high hopes!

We bought Maggie when she was 5 years old and I have done barrel racing in 19 seconds on a long course in an english saddle, and pole bending in 25 seconds on a long course in an english saddle. She has also jumped 3'9 in her younger years. She has also done jumpers and games. She is the best mare in the world but she doesnt put up with too much crap unless a beginner is riding her, the she is scared to even trot :)

We bought Domino when he was 2 years old because he was going to be my eventing horse. My trainer rode him the first few times to make sure he wasnt going to kill me and I have ridden him ever since. He is an amazing horse and I love him to death. His eventing career started last April and he loves the show ring! We have placed at every event except one. We are moving up to novice this year and im sure he will blow everyone out of the water. We have jumped 4 feet and 4 feet wide, done laterals, half passes, extended trot, some collected trot, and placed higher than trainers at shows. I hope to been at the Rolex soon and at the Olympics in 2012 or 2016. Thats my goal and some ppl think im crazy but if you aim high you will try ur hardest to get there.

Coach was our rescue horse. He had colicced for 5 days and his previous owner wanted him put down but the vet said that she had to come watch. My parents talked about it and said that we would take him and then sell him with some training. We took him to the vets in NC and all they had to do was load him up on fluids. He had lost over 400 LBS and he looked awful. I did hunters with him for a year and then I wanted to train him for jumpers and then eventing. We have jump 3'6 and he just flew. I havent had the urge to sell him because he is so sweet and I dont want him to go to a bad home. because a horse only needs to be rescued once.
