About Me
Started with horses in my life when I was old enough to know what one was! My grandfather was a trader, and I the guinea pig:) Lots and lots of falls and you name it - all making me the confident rider and handler that I am today - so THANKS Grandpa! About 15 years ago - I realize the beauty of the proud Arabian breed. A trade my grandpa somehow managed, a wild (and I mean wild:) but GORGEOUS Arabian stallion - 3 years od - Sharob's Contention II - a Bask bred horse. That started my love. I broke him myself - and literally about BROKE myself...he turned out to be a fantastic gelding - and the endurance partner for a proud new owner 2 years later. I have since shown and trained and bred and loved the Arabian horse. Have been proud to own some extremely well bred, well known horses. And still do to this day. My gorgeous loving, stallion, SDF Black Dust - not currently breeding him, but he is such a GOOD stallion....my beautiful, trusty Khemo/Bask/Bolero (actually closely related to the wild stallion of my childhood...go figure:) Kholts Allspice. She has won me numerous awards, hi-points, trophies and given me some really nice babies. And is my excellent lesson horse that is irreplaceable. My perfect little show pony, Flicka. Section A Welsh. Has actually won more than any horse I have ever owned. High Point end of the Year Pony for as many years as I can remember back in Ohio. And now in Alabama. She drives, and lets my daughter ride her around - even though she is just a halter pony:) She is 22 this year - and still kicking butt in halter! Than you have my new love, my amazing, gorgeous, breath-taking geldin, Big (PA Shiloh). 16hh of pure exquisite. Purebred out of Psymadre and a Desperado V daughter. Currently in Hunt training for his debut in the circuit 2010. Started under saddle by the remarkable and iconic Gene Reichardt. Last but not least - we have our little paint pony, Breaking Dawn...a.k.a. Twilight. Our daughter's pony - although not arabian she is a pretty little thing! And finally - I almost forgot - my rescue turned gorgeous - Grande Kammoshahn - a gorgeous 1/2 Arab - with the most beautiful head. Starved and some serious wounds - this boy is all TROT and snort now! (for sale to a great FOREVER home). Come for a visit - we are in sunny lower Alabama - an hour or so from the beach....we are glad to have you - and introduce you to our horses!
