About Me
I have always loved horses- and always will. I am 14, but don't underestimate me. I have been riding horses ever since I can remember, and my father is a trainer, a farrier, and pleasure roper. I have started training horses, and in March of 2008 I adopted an American Mustang from Wyoming (I live in Texas). I began training, but quickly discovered she was pregnant. She had a beautiful colt in June of that same year. Now the mare is still green, but broke, and I will begin saddle breaking the colt this month (February). His breaking will also serve as school project, for I am in TAG (Talented and Gifted), and every year we do any project that involves a time-line (among other requirements). My training methods involve rewarding for positive actions, and taking baby steps- I do NOT ride the buck out of them.
Also, I have been into photography since 2004. I am in a few local art galleries, and my town has a quite famous Lavender Festival, where I have a show selling my photographs. I have been working on getting a website up and running, but I don't think it will be published in the very near future. If you are interested (seriously) in photography, or western horse training, I would love to get to know you!
Plus, the old western movie True Grit featuring John Wayne is in the process of a re-make, and some of the footage shooting will take place in my town! I have auditioned for the part of Mattie Ross, so please wish me luck! I just may have another path on my road of life to choose from:)
Last, but NOT least, I am a proud Christian, and attend my local Cowboy Church regularly. I live to serve Jesus, and I completely believe he will lead me down whichever path was meant for me to take.
