About Me

I'm currently 20 and yes i am married and we are expecting our first child, a boy, on August 20, 2011!

Three of my best friends spent years of their life running their ♥ out just to be tossed aside.

Now one is excelling at barrels and poles (after we were told she would hardly be able to walk) the other 2 are my hubby's trail horses

Me and my husband own 3 rescued thoroughbreds and a rescued QH colt. A 2001 16h chestnut mare we call Bindi, a 2004 dark bay gelding we call Honor, a 2007 chestnut gelding we call Shooter, and a 2011 bay colt we call Talerico. Currently they are kept at Century Farm.

Registered Name: Polar Phlox
Show Name: Bipolar
Barn Name: Bindi

Sire: Yarrow Brae
Dam: Polar Capp
D.O.B: April 7, 2001
Color: Chestnut

Bindi was given to us November 18, 2009 after being rescued from a horrible trainer that beat her and was ready to send her and another mare to slaughter after she gave everything she had through 83 races. Her rescuers found her in an ad stating she need a home ASAP. They were told she is viscious, cant be pastured with other horses and you cant go in her stall with her. Her personality ended up being nothing of the sort. After being shown my her rescuers that no one will harm her they realized she is extremely gentle and loves attention. After 3 months of rehab Bindi came to live with us and has been loving every moment of it. Her favorite treats are peppermints, apples and carrots. And although she is hard to catch sometimes once you get her she loves to be scratched on her face and rub it on you.

Registered Name: Orna
Show Name: DJ's Honorable Flight Risk
Barn Name: Honor

Sire: Tethra
Dam: Heavenley Lark
D.O.B: May 16, 2004
Color: Dark Bay

Honor was given to my husband by his aunt's trainer when he ran out of starts and needed a new career. He is slowly adjusting from the racetrack life and learning to love it in the big pasture with his big sister, Bindi, and their other pasture mates, Mama and Ellie. He has a puppy dog personality and will follow you everywhere in the pasture and he is always looking for some love and treats. Especially when his daddy goes to see him. He has proved he still has the speed to race but definatly not the willingness. Unlike Bindi's speedy personality undersaddle Honor would rather take it slow and enjoy himself. Like his big sis he enjoys peppermints and carrots and he also loves chewing on ice. He can be nippy at times and loves to play but overall is just an awesome thoroughbred to work around.

more info coming on Shooter and Talerico!
