About Me
Stephanie first discovered her love of horses at the age of 11 when her best friend took Stephanie for her first trail ride. That was all she needed to make her turn her love of horses into a career that has spanned 20 years.
Her training started with mentor, Cory Walkey, a top three day event coach in California. She learned every aspect of the business whether it was teaching lessons, training horses or running a day camp program for children. In 2000, Stephanie moved to Pennsylvania to concentrate on her own riding. She began working for Bruce Davidson, an Olympic and World Champion. Under his guidance, she moved up to the Advanced level of Eventing.
In 2004, Stephanie got the opportunity to work for Leslie Morse and helped her in her bid for the Athens Olympics. While working for Leslie, Stephanie gained valuable knowledge in regards to caring for a top notch equine athlete. Stephanie was able to join Leslie in Germany and learned from the best dressage riders in the US while they trained with team coach, Klaus Balkenhol.
Upon her return to Colorado, Stephanie felt she was ready to start her own business training horses and teaching students of all ages and levels. Through her own training, she has learned that not all horses and riders are the same. This has enabled her to create a program specific to each horse and rider.
Stephanie has competed in eventing, hunter/jumpers and, now, dressage. She has won many awards for both. She currently competes two amazing horses ( Peteta, who is showing fourth level and Welkin, who is showing third level) With their help, Stephanie hopes to be able to compete in the Grand Prix.
