About Me
Amanda serves as President at HorsebackRidingVests.com located in Roy, Washington. At present, she is a member of the United States Equestrian Federation, United States Eventing Assocaition, United States Dressage Federation, American Quarter Horse Association, American Riding Instructors Association, and serves on Quiz Committee for the United States Pony Clubs, Inc. and is secretary for Fort Caspar Pony Club of the Rocky Mountain Region USPC. She is also a member of The National Association of Professional Women where she was recognized as 2011-2012 Woman of the Year.
Her past includes an Associate's Degree earned at Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling, Colorado then attending Colorado State University studying in Equine Science earning a Bachelor's degree. She graduated Poudre River Pony Club with an H-A cerificate and gave back to Pony Club vounteering as a District Commissioner, Instruction Coordinator, Horse Management Organizer for the RMR, Chief Horse Management Judge and National Examiner. During this time she trained horses and riders. Then she was employed at a feedlot and ranches in Wyoming. Although she does bring it up too often, she also farmed.
Now she is involving herself in the Northwest Region of USPC and is helping to organize 2012 Quiz Championships, West. As a new member of Back Country Horsemen of Washington she looks forward to giving her horse some retirement time from work. Amanda still enjoys teaching horse management and riding. She has had the chance to teach in the area once since her move here for a Pony Club camp and hopes to do more as they asked her to come back. She also joined the Western States Shooters Association and looks forward to trying something new.
