I had a great ride this morning. My alarm went off early but it worked out because I beat the heat and got to ride when it was that perfect temperature between chilly and hot. The horses enjoyed themselves in the freshly worked arena. Only downside was that I forgot to wear sunblock and my arms are a little red. Bring on the farmers tan!
I lasted a whopping 10 minutes, but it was great seeing as how it has been 3 1/2 months since I have been on a horse's back! I got kicked by a horse in the beginning of December (2011) and broke both bones in my lower leg completely in half! I am itching to get back on but my leg has not healed yet. Yes, that means that technically I wasn't supposed to be on my horse. ;-) I am surely not the only girl disobeying doctor's orders to be with her horse. :-) The swelling in my leg keeps me from doing it too much though. That and the fact that since I can't put any weight on my leg I have to have someone else saddle her up and all.
I didn't really have much time to ride because I spent most of the time trying to brush my horse! She is shedding like crazy! And she was a meeeessss from the mud and hay. Lol! She was extremely sensitive tonight and was a perfect angel!
AMAZING!! I got to ride the other day and the weather was perfect, and Cody was behaving, the sun was out, it put me in a great mood that I am still living on :D
my horse trying to buck me off!!! lol... oh yea and she reared up on me too, we were at a new trail and she was a lill too spooky. but she was ok by the end of it,
