Anyone ever have their own mare bred and raised the foal? Our one mare is being bred now....she should be coming home sunday. She is registered qh, money winner in barrel racing and team sorting, has ARHA points in youth and in conformation. The stallion she is being bred to is reg quarter horse...and has over 200 ARHA points in conformation and performance classes. We are very excited about the foal we will be expecting in 2013.

We have had a couple. It was fun but make sure stalls and pasture is baby-proofed prior to arrival. Babies do not understand wire, electricity or tape fencing and can easily get hurt.

Holly...thanks. Not our first baby....though we are as excited as if it was. We are actually very lucky as we have 2 farms to work with for the baby. Our home farm and the farm we work at...between the 2 it is almost perfect...:-)
