We have two thoroughbreds and two Welsh ponies and we love them. I do love the warmbloods, but thoroughbreds are much less expensive to buy.

My favorite breed of horse would have to be The American Quarter Horse, though I do love all the breeds and have met horses in many breeds that I liked or didnt like as an indivdual and not as a breed.

I love Arabians, they are just so darn people loving! I love their fiesty spirit and they are a very beautiful horse. I love a lot of other breeds also, but I think I will always own Arabians. I love the forwardness of them also, you dont have to use crops or spurs they are so willing to GO.

I love them all, but I personally own a Tennessee Walking horse. I love their smooth and natural gait! They have a sweet disposition and willingness to please. This breed has been abused for decades by some owners "soring" their feet to produce a more exaggerated "big lick" walk. It's a shame people do this because what they can do naturally is a ride beyond measure and I have never understood the sickness of why they do it. But the TN Walker is just the cadillac of smoothness. Just like the slogan goes, "To ride one is to own one."
