Equestrian Life is an online community for horse people.
We bring together horse people across all disciplines, breeds and sports.
We invite you to connect with others who love horses as much as you do.
What do you do with your horses? All of ours trail ride...it is a nice relaxing change for them from training. And all but the youngest do gymkhannas. (We wont game Jaz as we think it would be too much for her pea brain right now....though we do the games with her at a slow pace so she will know them later in life). Jaz is in reining training and my daughter shows her in ranch horse. Sky is a barrle racer, Storm is training for jumpers, Sirrango is just an all round horse, and Sugar is my trail horse though she has extensive training in ranch horse events and working cows.
I ride my horse in the outdoor ring, grass area. He's a show horse, though I am not the one showing him. I just bought him last year, so I have been learning all his show buttons.....which my other horse never had. We do pattern work for fun, keep him motivated.
Ours are hunters, at least some of them are! Gus and Flip are in training and haven't shown yet. Czar is more or less retired at age 28, though he gets ridden occasionally (just walk/trot) and Mattie is our super lazy leadline pony, but her life is about to change since we moved her to a different barn. They have a bunch of very good small riders who are going to make her work!
